Therapy offers a supportive space to navigate life’s challenges—whether you're facing overwhelming emotions, difficult changes, or a lingering sense that something just isn’t right. You might be living with anxiety or stress, struggling after a loss or life event, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Sometimes the impact of past experiences can resurface, making the present feel heavier or harder to manage.
But you don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Many people seek support because they’re feeling disconnected, dissatisfied, or simply curious to understand themselves more deeply. You might want to explore your relationships, grow your self-worth, or reconnect with what truly matters to you.
Whatever brings you here, therapy can offer a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and accepted without pressure or judgement. Sometimes, speaking with someone outside of your everyday life can make all the difference.
Therapy is your time—a confidential space where you can slow down, reflect, and explore what’s going on for you. You set the pace and the focus. I’m not here to offer advice or quick fixes, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
You might find yourself talking about what’s happening in your life right now, past events that still affect you, or patterns in how you relate to others and yourself. It’s a gentle, collaborative process guided by what feels important and meaningful to you.
At the heart of therapy is a trusting relationship, one where you feel safe to show up just as you are. I believe you already hold the wisdom you need and with the right support, you can reconnect with your own inner strength, make empowered choices, and move through life with greater clarity and confidence.
I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space where you are free to explore whatever you’re feeling. People seek therapy for many reasons: you might be struggling with low mood, anxiety, relationship challenges, or simply a sense of feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected from yourself.
Our work together is a space for you to discover what a more satisfying and resourceful life could look like, at your own pace.
Counselling sessions are typically 50 minutes long and take place weekly at a regular time. I offer both short-term and open-ended work, tailored to your needs. We can agree a set number of sessions to focus on a specific issue, or take a more open approach and regularly review how you’re feeling as we go along.
To help you decide if this feels right for you, I offer a free 30-minute phone or video consultation. This is a chance for us to meet, for you to ask questions, and for me to understand a little about what brings you to therapy at this point in your life.
Hi Jo, I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for all your support over the past 8 months. I don’t think I would have gotten through this nightmare without your help.
Dear Jo, thank you for all your support over the last year. You have helped me so much and I will forever be grateful.
You helped me navigate the most difficult period of my life. I always felt I wasn’t alone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
I’d recommend anyone to seek support if they can. It’s wholeheartedly improved my life and the way I deal with things. Thank you for your professionalism and sincere kindness.
Thank you for being there in the hardest times. I thought you might like to hear a positive update…”
